My Best CJ Cregg

My work life includes doing press on a somewhat regular basis. I do phone interviews, podcasts, and there have been times when I need to be on tape. For most of my career, I was behind the scenes and when you’re a fundraiser, you never want to be in the press.

What a change that has been in how I do things! I’m an introvert so it takes a lot of energy for me to be in a crowds. When I have public speaking gigs, I know that I have to harness that energy to engage the audience. I certainly have days when I really am not in the mood to be peppy and when I see that I have a press hit on my schedule, I know that I gotta pump it up. That’s when I flip the switch, put on my sorority smile and hope for the best with my prep work.

I don’t think you’ll ever see me performing The Jackal 🙂
