Taking a Turn at Le Diplomate

My dear college friend, M and I were planning on meeting up for Sunday brunch and since I enjoy a lot of things French, we made rezzies for Le Diplomate.

It didn’t disappoint. The decor and atmosphere were lovely and the weather that day was gorgeous so I look forward to enjoying many more occasions to dine there in the future.

My order of eggs and boudin noir (if you need to ask what is in it – maybe you really don’t need to know – it’s pretty tasty, regardless)

We decided to forgo the more traditional selection of desserts and get a cheese plate.

We went during their first week of opening so everything definitely tasted “better” as we also got a 10% discount off our bill 🙂

If you’re looking to read more about the restauranteur who spent $6.5 million to build out the restaurant, the Washington Post recently interviewed Stephen Starr.

If you’re looking if the restaurant has an authentic menu, check out my twitter pal, French Twist DC and her review. Being that she’s French, I value her opinion and so should you 🙂

Bon Appetit!
