Olympics Gold
It’s International Women’s Day and I was thrilled to attend an event where I met two gold medal winning players of the United States Women’s hockey team (Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and her twin sister, Monique Lamoureux-Morando). Follow them on twitter because they are AMAZING! They were kind enough to pose with us for photos and let us hold their Olympics gold medals. To be perfectly honest, I thought I was going to drop it because it was heavier than it looked and I held on with 2 hands. Then my hand started to shake because of fatigue LOL I would not do well holding onto a hockey stick.
Much thanks to Comcast for the invitation to this spectacular event. NBC4 Newscaster Eun Yang interviewed Jocelyne and Monique about their experiences. Pyeongchang was their 3rd Winter Olympics so they were veterans. I was truly inspired about how they want to use their platform to help elevate equal pay for women and using sport to help girls and young women gain self confidence. They are the epitome of role models.
This already special event was made even more spectacular with an incredible selection of food at Momofuku. So delicious! It was a truly memorable evening to start the celebration of women everywhere!
