The Sweet Life
One of the many things that I love about eating is that you can find what many will consider a “hole in the wall” and have a better eating adventure than going to a top rated restaurant with critical acclaim. What’s even better is when you eat at a place where the food is just solid, nothing so profound that you would consider going there to celebrate a special occasion but you know that you can take a break from cooking in your own kitchen to get a good meal without having to wait in line.
Dolce Cafe and Bakery in Annandale completely fits that bill. I was introduced to it by friends who live in the neighborhood. Those are the best recommendations! When people in the ‘hood want to tell their friends to come see them and eat at a local joint. This restaurant has an eclectic menu because it draws inspiration from Korean and Italian cuisines. So you will find spaghetti and meatballs next to bibimbap but not mixed together 🙂 The desserts are delicious so remember to save room!
