Happy GALentine’s Day

The Mister & I don’t really do Valentine’s Day. I like to take the holiday and celebrate my relationships with my women friends. A few years ago, my business partner and I did a GALentine’s Day karaoke fundraiser to benefit a local non-profit. It was a fun way to raise money for a good cause and to spend an evening celebrating meaningful relationships.

In general, I like to use holidays to re-inforce friendships or to let people know that I’m thinking of them. There are some holidays that tend to get more attention than others and the audience for those holidays can be celebrated with good intentions.

Why not take the holiday and celebrate yourself too? Self-love is important in building self esteem and you can always count on yourself to get your favorite flowers 🙂
